Desiccare, Inc. manufactures a complete line of pharmaceutical
grade small Desiccant packs called PillowPak. PillowPaks are
manufactured using Dupont Tyvek® and several custom substrates.
PillowPak can be used to adsorb moisture vapor, odor, or gas.
Depending on the use, PillowPaks contain silica gel, molecular
sieve, montmorillonite clay, carbon or a mixture of these
materials. PillowPaks meet FDA and USDA standards and are used in
a variety of packaging applications including vitamins, medical
diagnostic, pharmaceutical, electronics, food, optical, clothing,
and consumer products.
Available in 1/4, 1/2, 3/4, 1, 1 1/2, 2, 3, 4, 5, 7, 10, 12, and
14 grams.

There has been a surge in automation
withing the packaging industry. This has caused a desire for
Desiccants which can be used in conjunction with automated
dispensing equipment to reduce labor costs. In response to this,
Desiccare now offers a Continuous Strip PillowPak which is a
continuous strip of PillowPaks wound on a spool and comes in sizes
ranging from .25 grams to 3 grams. This product is available in
silica gel, clay, molecular sieve, or carbon combinations.
Desiccare's technology allows us to manufacture a strip of product
without punching a hole in the seal. The seal between each packet
is detectable with the use of a light sensor that allows the
dispensing equipment at speeds up to 240 per minute and cut at
1/16" tolerance. The result is a wonderfully efficient product
that does not lose seal integrity because of the old technology
calling for a hole punched in the seal. |
